Company & Position Overview

The Service Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Branch Manager & team members in the daily operations of the Service Department.

Responsibilities & Operational Functions

  • Answer telephones - accurately record and quickly respond to customer service calls.
  • Review work in process on a timely basis
  • Actively engage customers, determine repair action needed, prioritize and implement corrective action.
  • Work with Parts & Service Sales Reps to schedule repairs by the branch service department.  Communicate job scope changes.
  • Resolve customer complaints by taking prompt and appropriate action to maintain excellent customer relations; encourage associates to be fair, courteous, honest and appreciative of our customers
  • Respond to customer surveys
  • Review daily time entry, open and close service work orders and review completed work orders.
  • Inform customer of additional work needed for equipment repair; keep customer informed of additional charges and recommended service intervals.
  • Ensure employee compliance with company safety policies regarding safety equipment, i.e. safety shoes, uniforms, personal protective equipment, respirators and vehicle safety.
  • Advise service management of problems or matters that could hinder the smooth and productive operation of the Service Department.
  • Complete special assigned projects on time as assigned by team leader.
  • Assist with coordinating and schedule training for shop technicians.
  • Additional duties as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Customer service experience, including experience resolving customer issues
  • Proficient use of computer programs
  • Knowledge of construction equipment or willingness to learn through aggressive training program
  • Business professional etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to maintain composure during times of high volume work
